Kim Phuc Phan Thi
For the past eleven years, Kim Phuc Phan Thi has been a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador working to promote a culture of Peace. In 1997, she was the subject of Shelley Saywell’s award-winning documentary “Kim’s Story: The Road from Vietnam”. Since defecting to Canada in 1992, Kim has inspired audiences around the globe, sharing her story though guest appearances and presentations while raising money for The Kim Foundation International. This organization partners with aid organizations to help child victims of war. The Foundation is currently working with school and water projects in Uganda and is planning a future project with orphaned children in Burma (Myanmar).
